The Waco, TX episode of North Texas Explorer was a part of Phase 3 of the show and featured a few local attractions. After a brief history of the area at the Waco Suspension Bridge, Devin visits the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum. Byron Johnson, the museum's director, discusses the history of the organization and mentions some specifically unique pieces of memorabilia on display.
After the break, Devin heads to the Cameron Park Zoo to speak with park director Jim Fleshman and to explore the zoo's unique layout. Stops include the elephant enclosure and the herpetarium, Some of the zoo's successful breeding program are also discussed.
Next Devin heads to the Falls on the Brazos park for a scientific segment about the extinction of the dinosaurs and evidence of deposits from an asteroid that is believed to have crashed into the earth.

Finally, a trip to the Dr Pepper Museum sheds some light on the most misunderstood soft drink. Executive director Jack McKinney talks about the history of the brand, what memorabilia is on display at the museum, and what kind of treats are offered at their soda shop.
