Strataca is a salt mine, turned museum, in Hutchinson, KS. They offer tours and a variety of educational programs.
The temperature, low moisture, and security of the facility also make it a desirable place to securely store items like film negatives, props and costumes. Several such items were on display from movies like Batman, The Matrix, and Twister. It was featured in EveryDay Earth.
