Salt

Salt is a common mineral and is the only rock that is regularly eaten. Salt has been prominent in several Esteem Education productions.

The west Texas salt flats near Guadalupe Mountains National Park and the 19th century "Salt War" were featured in the Permian Reef episode of GeoAmerica.
The Salt Plains National Wildlife Refuge was featured in the documentary Oklahoma Rocks!
The structure of sodium chloride was made with marshmallows and grapes in the Episode 1 of Geology Kitchen.
Rock salt was used as an example of an evaporite in Episode #5 "Chemical & Biological Sedimentary Rocks" of Geology Kitchen.
Salt was used as an example of something containing sodium, an element making up feldspars, in Episode #13 "Feldpsarty" of Geology Kitchen.
