Reptile Day is a Phase 2 episode of North Texas Explorer that has a primary focus on an event at the Dallas Museum of Natural History but includes several other segments at different Texas attractions.
The episode begins at the Reptile Day at the Dallas Museum of Natural History as Devin interviews museum CEO Steve Runnels. Runnels speaks about the events and various exhibits at the museum including "Texas Dinosaurs." From the museum, Devin introduces the next segment about the geology of Cedar Hill, TX.
At Cedar Hill State Park, Devin Devin discusses the natural features of the area, the history of the formation of the rocks, and how those rocks effect the landscape in the modern day.
Devin with the Battleship Texas
After the break, the episode returns with a brief cameo by legendary Texas singer/songwriter Willie Nelson. This leads into a short segment about the Battleship Texas State Historic Site in La Porte, TX. Next, the episode gets back into the Reptile Day event as Devin interviews Barry Allen who shows off a bearded dragon.
A few short segments at some Fair Park museum follows. Devin interviews Bea Booker of the Women's Museum who gives an overview of the museum and its mission. This is followed by a similar segment at the African American Museum. Kendall Ferguson speaks speaks with Devin about the museum's goals and various programs.
Back at Reptile Day, Devin gets to know a boa constrictor as Barry Allen continues with various reptile facts.
