North Texas Explorer was a 30 minute educational/travel television show hosted by geologist Devin Dennie that aired in various parts of the DFW Metroplex in the early 2000s. The series covered scientific and historic topics by showcasing local area museums, parks, zoos and other attractions. The show existed in multiple incarnations.
North Texas Explorer: Phase 1[]
The initial phase of North Texas Explorer was created as a college television program for NTTV Channel 22 at the University of North Texas. Episodes included:
- Dinosaur Valley State Park
- Weatherford/Mineral Wells
- Something From Nothing Episode
- The Elephant Man of Kaufman County
- Urban Fort Worth
- The Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge
North Texas Explorer: Phase 2[]
The second phase of NTE aired in a variety of ways in many different locations. It was typically seen in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex but also had viewing areas out of state and out of country. Episodes included:

North Texas Explorer - The Complete Series was released on DVD in 2010. It contains every episode of Phase 3 plus the Bayou Bob episode and audio commentary on three of the episodes.
