Devin Paul Dennie, PhD (born March 25, 1977) is an American geologist, writer, television personality and science communicator. He is best known for his series of educational children's books from Penguin Random House and appearances on various Science Channel programming. Dennie was born in Dallas, TX and raised in Kaufman county.

Dennie's postgraduate work include completing an MS in Geology from Texas Christian University in 2001 and receiving his PhD in Geology/Geophysics from the University of Oklahoma in 2010.
